As a non-profit, Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue is completely driven by volunteers ~ compassionate, dedicated and fun-loving volunteers. Our volunteers support our cause in a multitude of ways, from big jobs to little projects, yet we always are in need of more helping hands. As you can imagine, the more friends we have, the more Bulldogs we can save!
So, how can you help? Take a peek below.
Unlike a typical rescue shelter, every dog in our program is lovingly cared for in the comforts of a foster family’s home. Foster families help us fully evaluate our dogs and, if needed, nurse them back to health before they are adopted. Sometimes fostering is “short and sweet,” but there are some dogs that may have medical or training issues and require longer stays. It takes a special heart to be a foster volunteer and we understand that not everyone can do it, but for those that can, the rewards are amazing!
Special note: foster families must be approved just like our adoptive families. We also expect a year commitment from foster volunteers before they can adopt a dog from our program.
Do you have a Bully-safe mobile? Then you can help transport! Transport volunteers may help us pick up dogs from shelters and surrendering owners, move dogs from foster homes or take dogs to vet appointments.
Our volunteers are awesome champions of the breed. Not only do we help save the lives of Bullies, we help educate others in the community about our most favorite dogs. You can help by volunteering to:
