Hey all, it’s me…Jimmy. Let me tell you, I am loving life here in rescue. My foster mom picked me up at the Dallas pound when my previous owners dropped me off at the night drop. I wasn’t well taken care of in my early life. When my foster mom first got me home, she made me take a bath. Let me tell you, I don’t know why the other bullies in the house complain about baths, I loved it! What’s not to love about getting a massage while getting clean? My mom said my fur felt like straw and I was too thin. So now, my foster mom is trying to fatten me up. I love to eat, and I especially love all the extra treats she slips me for being a good boy.

They took me to the vet to have my front leg looked at and get a check up. The doc said I had an upper respiratory infection and I have arthritis in my leg. They now have me taking medicine for both. I will probably always be on medicine to help with my gimpy leg. My sniffles are starting to go away, so the next step will be something called neutering. I’m not sure what it is, but I hope there are treats involved.

They keep calling me a “senior” but I don’t quite understand why. Don’t let the limp fool you, I’m a very spry 6 years old thank you very much.

I’ve spent most of my life outside, so I didn’t know there were things such as “indoor” rules and “outdoor” rules. I used to mark in my foster mom’s house, but don’t do that anymore…unless I forget once in a while. What’s a guy to do? My mom says I’m doing much better though so I don’t have to wear that stupid belly band.

I really like my foster mom. She says she should have named me “Glue” as I like to stick close to her when she is home. I sometimes bark if she puts me in my crate when she’s going to leave. I just want her to know that I’m going to miss her.

I get along with the two other bullies in the house. I find the cat very interesting, but he doesn’t stay still long enough for us to properly meet. I’m current in all my shots and will be neutered and available for adoption soon. If you’re looking for a handsome loving bully, then I’m your man! My adoption fee is $400.

Hey Bulldog people, it’s me Tyson, and here I am in rescue and I am lovin rescue !!! I was picked up last week running down a busy road in Lewisville in really bad shape. Not only was I very hungry, I was very cold too, but the worse part I was very sick. My story is not very pretty but you really need to know just how bad I felt ! I had what is called a rectal prolapse, this condition is caused by a couple different things, but mainly intestinal worms. YUCK !!! The Lewisville shelter called my owners because I was micro chipped, and guess what? They did NOT want me back!!! Thank GOODNESS!!! I was taken to the vet and had my problem fixed and now I am recovering. I never knew what the inside of a house looked like, I have always been an outside fella, but I love the inside a lot better. I am supposed to be resting in a crate while getting over my surgery but every chance I get to get out and explore the house which is just great !! I have been on the couch, on the bed and all over the house checking it out. I have never been taught any indoor rules but now I am learning them quickly. I guess what I am trying to say is, I am only 16 months old and my new family will need to be patient with me and help be learn what is right and what is wrong. Also you need to know I do NOT like it when people raise their voice, it scares me really bad. Every time I heard that in the past something bad happened. I have a little longer to recover from being so sick, but today I feel good enough to start looking through the applications for my “fur-ever” family. I LOVE other dogs and I LOVE cats! I love kids, but I am a jumper so little kids are probably not the best thing for me right now, I might knock them down. After I’m completely healed from my surgery I will be neutered, current on vaccinations, on a heartworm preventative and then I’ll be ready for my new home. My adoption fee is $600.00

Hey everyone my name is Maggie and I am new to rescue! My proper name is Magnolia Mae and you will see I am a true Southern lady! So far I am loving my new life!! I would have to say for most of my life things were pretty darn good until about the last couple years. My family had a baby and I was kinda pushed to the side and that cute baby got all the attention I was used to getting. A lot of time I just sat alone in my crate and remembered when I was someone’s pride and joy, but for the last 2 years I have just been sad. I also had a bulldog brother that was my best friend but he left one day and things then just went from bad to worse. Some of my family went one way, and some went the other way, but I got to stay with my Dad and my Dad loved me! My Dad would tell you I was the first love of his life !!! But for me things were not going on like I wanted them to, my Dad was working 12-15 hours a day and I was alone all the time. Finally my Dad understood that this was just not what I wanted, I was a friendly gal that needed attention, I loved to go for rides in the car, and I loved someone hugging on me. The day we said our good-byes was a very hard day for the both of us, I was scared to go but I was more scared to be by myself all day everyday. So today starts the next chapter in this full figured gal’s life! And I have made a list of the things my new family needs to know. My birthday is July 5, 2006 and I used to have a party. I would like a party from now on! I am a party girl that needs to join the fun. If you do not have a crate I am gonna love you even more!!! I am a little large and I am happy with my size. Don’t start trying to put me on a diet, just take me on short walks often and I will trim back up. I love older kids that will not fall on me, I consider myself very delicate and not a cushion for breaking a fall. My Dad called me today just to see how my first night went and I told him I had a bath, ate a steak, went for a short walk and got slapped by the cat! But I love my new life and he is happy for me, but I am going to call him tomorrow just to make sure he is doing OK without me! He really did love me ya know! I am going to see the vet for the once over and then I will start looking through the applications for the family that will make me the happiest bulldog in the world! My adoption fee is $500.00 but truly I am worth my weight in GOLD! I will have all my vaccinations, be spayed and on a heartworm preventative before you get me too.

Sasha is 8 years old and acts her age. Sweet Granny Sasha as we call her is such a joy. She wakes up on her own time, retired time! She stretches, eats, goes potty and lays herself right on the couch for the rest of the day. She does have a burst of energy in the evenings and loves her squeaky toys and rolls around with them and may even play a little tug of war. She gets along with her foster sisters and brother, but has no interest in playing with them. She has developed quite the crush on her foster dad and will even wait for him a the door and cry. She is his #1 fan and only member! She will rumble up the stairs to make sure he is not hiding from her before she comes back down to wait for him to get home every day. She is getting over some allergy skin problems, but is getting better. She will need eye drops every day to help with some common bulldog dry eye. Sasha is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and on a heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $400.

Sunday, January 15, 2012 11:45am my life changed forever. Someone found me and I was rescued! The day started like every other day of my life living outside, running back and forth up and down the fence barking at the neighbor’s dog. I would tell you I lived in the back yard for all of my 3 years but actually I lived in the back pasture. This day started out different. I saw a lady walking through the high grass and weeds calling my name, she was caring something very strange in her hand so I just flattened myself in the weeds hoping she would not see me but my best friend barked and it was over, she had found me and she wanted me to sit still so she could put something very strange around my neck. I sat still because she was talking very softly to me, but I was very shocked when she actually thought I was going to walk with her. I was scared to death, I got sick, I started to shake, I wanted to throw up. Then the strangest thing happened to me, she picked me up and carried me. I thought I had died and gone to Heaven! No one had ever picked me up in my life! This lady carried me to her car and laid me on the softest blanket I had ever felt in my life and all I could think was, “God PLEASE don’t ever let this moment end!” The next thing I knew I saw her carrying my big ole best friend Bernice in her arm’s and she laid her beside me, Bernice was shaking and licking and then she started to get sick too. All I remember was looking in the rear view mirror and seeing the clouds of dust as I left this hell on earth that we knew as our home. The next stop was a place called Mutt Puddle where I actually had a bath with warm water and soap and conditioner. I counted a thousand fleas that had biten me for years as they died that day! And today for the first time I went to see a vet. No matter what they did to me I liked it, someone was touching me, someone finally cared. I have heartworms I heard, and the treatment is painful, but my entire life was painful. I will recover, I will come inside someone’s home and I will be a family member and be loved from this day forward. I will never sit outside in the rain, the hail, the snow and the Texas summer’s any more. I will be inside with my family forgetting my old life and the days that they left me to die in that Texas pasture. If you are my family you will have to help me learn to live inside your home, you will need to be patient and remember I have only known the pasture and never once been inside the house, so your world is so new to me, but I am so anxious to learn. By the time you adopt me I will be heartworm free, up to date on my vaccinations and neutered. My adoption fee is $500.00, a small price to pay for all this bulldog love !

“Treating a dog heartworms is very costly in addition to all the other medical needs for Bailey, please consider “Sponsoring” Bailey to help us defray the cost.”

Sunday, January 15 2012 at 11:50am my life as I had known it changed. I was running the fence rows barking at the neighbor’s dogs when out of the corner of my eye I saw a stranger stomping through the grass and weeds calling my name. She could not see me but I knew in that back yard no nice things ever happened so I figured I might be fixing to get hurt so I laid down flat and I figured she would get tired of stomping around and leave. It’s hard to hide when your big and white and everything else is brown. Then all of a sudden for no reason I barked. She found my best friend first and I cried when she picked him up and carried him through the pasture, Bailey was the only family I had ever known. After all we lived outside in the pasture with no shelter, we sat in the rain, the sleet, and the snow and we baked together in the Texas heat. There was no way Bailey could leave without me so I was sitting at the gate when the lady returned. For some reason I could not walk with that thing around my neck, I just fell down. I am a full figured gal and her back must have broke when she picked me up and carried me to her car. She laid me next to Bailey and we were safe. We were rescued. We did not know where we were going but it had to be better than living in that pasture day in and day out. First stop was a bath. Warm water, lots of soap and a thousand fleas were washed down the drain that day! I stood like a statue. I kept thinking please Lord don’t ever let this day end. Everyone stopped and said how beautiful I was, “beautiful” that was a word I had never heard before. Next stop was home. I ate a big meal, slept inside on a fat bed and after all these years I got to see the inside of a house and I liked what I saw. I went to the vet today and I have heartworms and the treatment is very painful I hear. No problem for me though, my entire life has been painful. I am going to get better and find my very own home indoors and be someone’s pride and joy. I have a new name and it is Bernice, a very proper name for me. My best friend has a new name too, his name is Bailey now. We love each other. We are going to be fostered together too and our prayer is for someone to want both of us so we can always be together. By the time I am ready for a new home I will have been treated for heartworms and be heartworm free, I will be spayed and brought up to date on my vaccinations, I am 4 years old. My adoption fee is $500.00, and in return I will love you forever.

“Treating a dog heartworms is very costly in addition to all the other medical needs for Bernice, please consider “Sponsoring” Bernice to help us defray the cost.”

Hey it’s me, Holly Berry and can you tell from my picture I am just plain mad!! I had a home one day, the next day I did not !!! My family took me and my Dachshund brother to the animal shelter because they were moving! Now I would just like to know where they were moving to that doesn’t take dogs? Life in the shelter was bad, the floor was cold and wet and there was no where for us to lay except on the wet floors. I am 8 years old and I still have years of love and devotion to give to someone. Finally the morning came and we were so glad to see the sun. We thought we heard someone say “that lady is here for the bulldog” and I got so excited that someone really did love and want a senior gal like myself. The lady that came for me had been there for hours waiting for her turn, she was number 52 in line and I am so thankful she was patient that day and I got to go home! Things now are great, except I need my very own family and I am looking for someone that wants and loves a senior who just loves a good long nap, a short walk, and some quite time. My eye’s can’t see like they used to so I don’t need a family with small kids that I might run over. I really would love a senior family that appreciates the fact that I walk slower and eat slower and move slower, but I do get where I am going! I don’t have any bad habit’s at all. I have put on my traveling hat and I am starting to pack to move in with you and your family. I only require a big, fat bed and to be woke up for breakfast, lunch and supper. I don’t need a crate either, if you put my bed where you want me to stay I will just stay there resting and waiting for you to love me for the rest of my life ! My adoption fee is $400.00 I am spayed, current on all my shots and heartworm preventive also, I do need eye drops for my one weak eye though daily!

Look out Bully lovers, there’s another Boss in town! And let me tell you, I’ve had a rough start for being only 3 yrs young. My previous owner rescued me from a bad situation. I was living life outside, had mange and all sorts of infections. I was in bad shape. She fixed me up as best she could. Unfortunately, due to her own illnesses and because the other bully in the house thought that I was his “boy toy” and tried to “have his way with me” often, I was sent to the good people at Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue for an opportunity at another fresh start. Despite all I’ve been through, I’m still just as sweet as can be. I definitely know how to mind my manners. I know sit, come, and stay. However, we’re working on “off”… you know, I just want all the attention I can get. I am settling in well at my foster home, where I get to indulge in one of my favorite pastimes…snoozing on the couch. I get along great with the other dog in the house, and love humans – big and small. I don’t like the crate all that much, but I’m getting used to it. I was recently neutered (ouch!), am up to date on all my vaccinations and on a heartworm preventative. My adoption fee is $600.
