Whether or not a dog is suitable with children will depend on a particular dog. Many of the dogs we placed last year were rehomed because they were not able to get along properly with toddler-aged children. However, many bully owners will tell you their bulldog does great w/ their kids. So it depends on the dog itself and the family.

We rarely if ever get puppies. If they are puppies, they are usually in REALLY bad shape. Most of our rescues are between the ages of 5-8 years old. Sometimes they are younger/older.

The cost is a donation of $300-$600. That covers our medical costs on each dog. If a dog's medical needs run higher, we ask up to $600 to cover those costs. We will let you know that up front when we contact you about a potential adoption.

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative. We will tell you as much about the dog as we know. Any health or behavior issues that need to be addressed will be disclosed up front. Also, if for any reason you are unable to keep the dog, we require that the dog be returned only to us. For instance, if the dog is not acclimating to your environment for some reason, we would rehome the dog and try again. This rarely happens, but it has.

Our goal is to place each dog in the best possible home for that dog. As we get dogs in to place, we try to evaluate what their needs are. Whether it is good with children or other dogs/cats, etc. Then we review each application we have and determine who we feel is best suited for that dog.

to save the life of one dog makes a difference to that dog.
